The best lemonade still has nothing on a fresh sweet lemon

So we ended up with a fairly major setback a day into our drive. So I’m staying with my parents as we deal with the fallout. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we’re on the road again.

On a more positive note, this means we’ll now be roadtripping when the weather is a bit better, end of winter or start of spring. In college one summer, I was “the Theory of Spring” for Halloween. I wore some floral things and other decorations to indicate spring, the idea being that, in those dark fall days and the slide into winter, spring is only a far-out theory; memories from past years, hopes for future years.

I’ve actually even gotten my personal email inbox down to fewer than 200 messages, 34 total unread. !! Wow! I don’t know the last time it’s been that streamlined.
